Setting off on the right foot is key…
After an initial phone consultation my service starts with a free ‘getting to know you’ session to meet you in your own home and better understand your requirements. This will include an assessment of each window including measurements and any practical constraints. Primarily the visit is designed to determine your personal taste, style and budget and to discuss design ideas, likes and dislikes. I will encourage you to think about the whole room/project and what other elements you may wish to consider to complete the look. This may include paint colours, headboards, upholstery, cushions or lampshades.
I will then pull together an edited selection of fabrics, trims and design ideas for you to choose from. This visit is also home based so that you can view and discuss the samples in situ. This is followed up with a detailed quotation for the work involved, including fitting and installation. As the consultations are done in your own home, you are instantly able to see what will look best in each space and how the colours and designs will fit in with the rest of your décor. This allows me to create truly unique products tailored to your individual taste and budget.
Curtains
All my curtains are hand sewn using traditional methods. I only use the best linings and interlinings for a really luxurious finish which also help to prolong the life of your curtains and help them hang into beautiful folds. There are many different heading style options to choose from and I’ll always advise on the most appropriate option for each fabric type and room style. Great care is taken with pattern placement and the use of trimmings and borders to perfectly complement each pair of curtains.
Fabrics & Trimmings

The world is a happier place with trimmings! There are so many fabulous braids, tiebacks and additions to choose from, even the plainest of fabrics can be brought to life with a bit of carefully considered trimming. Sometimes this might just be a simple bit of contrast piping or often full-on pompoms to bring a bit of joy and added wow factor.
Roman & Roller Blinds
Roman blinds are a very popular option and work well in both contemporary and traditional homes. They look smart when matched with a box pelmet. All our blinds are supplied with child-safe headrails or can be electronically motorised, especially useful for those hard-to-reach windows.
Roller blinds can be a useful addition, offering privacy and shade, with a wide range of options available for tricky-shaped windows which need some specialist attention, including perfect fit and pleated blinds. We can also supply metal and wooden venetian blinds which are a popular choice for bathrooms and studies.
Cushions
More is more when it comes to cushions! They should be full and plump, perfectly complementing the rest of your scheme. They are a quick and easy way to bring a scheme together and can be a clever way to incorporate a statement fabric or pop of colour without it overwhelming a room. I firmly believe that everyone needs a ‘cuddle of cushions’ in their home!
Pelmets & Headboards
Pelmets add a touch of elegance and give a neat, tailored look when paired with both roman blinds and curtains. They can be shaped and trimmed to complement the windows and provide a cohesive scheme with a contrasting colour, pattern and trim.
Fully upholstered headboards can be crafted into any shape and can be further customised with piping, studs and buttoning.
Hardware & Fitting
I can offer help choosing the correct poles and tracks to complement your scheme, offer advice as to which option will work best for each window. There is always a solution for even the trickiest of windows.
Curtain fitting is a craft in its own right. I work with the most incredibly skilled and capable fitters, who not only ensure that all the hardware is securely fixed and level, but all the curtains are beautifully presented. If you are having motorised blinds or curtains, we will ensure that everything is set up perfectly, enabling simple and easy use. We will perfectly plump each cushion and see that every curtain is hanging neatly before we leave for you to enjoy.
